Dancing Oaks Nursery has an established display garden where thousands of plants have died and hundreds have thrived. We believe in trying any favorite plant 3 times before we sadly come to the realization that maybe it isn't happy here at the edge of the oak savannah. Pack a snack and enjoy the day looking around.

Open March 1 – Oct. 31, Closed Monday and Tuesday. Open Wed. - Sat. 9am - 5pm, Sun. 10am - 4pm

Horticultural & Commercial photographer - I’m always on the lookout for beautiful gardens & great homes with lovely greenspace for editorial use. I adore gardens with lots of foliage, unusual ones too! I’m often found on the road with my camera. You’ve likely seen my work on the cover and among the pages of Fine Gardening magazine, Sunset Western Garden books, Garden Gate, to name a few. Do you have, or know of someone, with a lush inspiring garden? Let me know, I am always happy to take a look. Have camera, will travel! I’ll come to you!

In 1929, Elizabeth Lord and Edith Schryver opened the doors to their landscape architecture office. The first women to operate their own landscape architecture firm in the PNW. They practiced for 40 years and designed 250 gardens in the region. Today, the mission of the non-profit Lord & Schryver Conservancy is to preserve and interpret their legacy. We care for two gardens, their home Gaiety Hollow and Deepwood. The conservancy offers garden tours, programs and small event rental space.
